The cover art for SEGA's "Beijing Olympics 2008" has made its way online. This game follows on the heels of their previously licensed game Mario & Sonic at the Olympics Games for the Nintendo consoles. Cover art looks cool, but honestly I don't have much interest in it. Mario & Sonic was great because of the level of physical interaction but I've played sports sims in the past and I find them tedious at best the majority of the time. I remember getting the Olympic Summer Games back in 1996 for the games in Atlanta and playing it to death on my Game Boy. I even rushed out and got the Nagano Winter Olympics '98 for the N64 and played it to death as well. Nothing like virtual curling! I was younger at the time though and was very forgiving of those games quirks. Maybe I'll write about them at some point. For now enjoy the cover art above and thanks for stopping by.
UPDATE 7/1/08:
I came across some of the international box art for the game as well. They look much different than the US version but pretty similar to each other. It looks as though they are representing each cover with an homage to the flag of that country. Pretty nice. Also if you are interested you can visit the official site to see more about the game including screen shots and video.
