James Bond to Open the 2012 Olympic Games!

How did I miss this news?! Following a personal invitation from the Queen, Daniel Craig shot an introductory film for the games in character as 007.
2012 marks the 50th anniversary of the Bond films, which makes the introduction, entitled “The Arrival,” doubly special. In the short, Bond is informed of his mission at Buckingham Palace then flown via helicopter to Olympic Stadium in Stratford, east London, where he parachutes into the arena.
The short intro is reportedly being directed by Oscar winner Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, Slumdog Millionaire) who is also serving as the creative director of the London 2012 opening ceremony. What a great way to open the games!

i honestly have to say it would be epic, but untraditional, the Olympics have always been opened by a head of state, as it is stated in the olympic charter, i would love this to happen, but it seems highly unlikely and i think it would be bad taste on the queens behalf.
