FUWA'S OLYMPIC STORIES Animated Series

The cartoon series FUWA'S OLYMPIC STORIES was produced by Beijing TV Station and Beijing KAKU Cartoon Satellite TV Ltd, with the authorization of the Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee.

This series, with 100 episodes of 11 minutes each, is a TV play combining Chinese traditions with Olympic themes and is the largest animation series produced so far, with Olympic mascots as the main characters.

The story happens on the eve of the 29th Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008.

In a residential building near the "Bird Nest" National Stadium, a boy named Dayou receives a birthday gift from his parents -- a set of Fuwa, Olympic mascots.

Then conversations start between Fuwa and the KAKU toys that Dayou had before.

Stories are told about the origins and development of Olympic sport events, the setup and perfecting of the rules of the games as well as tales of Olympic history.

The skill of personification is combined with unique forms of cartoon art, historical materials and Olympic themes and sports spirit are ingeniously integrated, and the series tells many interesting and humorous stories that combine informative and educational content with video animation.

The main characters of the show:

*Fuwa -- Five Fuwa mascots of the Olympic Games. They are toys of an 8-year-old boy. They sometimes become alive when people do not notice.

*Bei Bei: Specializing in swimming and related items, Bei Bei is sweet, kind and careful, and displays magic and endless power once water is touched.

*Jing Jing: Specializing in items of strength, Jing Jing is honest, warmhearted and curious, and is able to instantly recount accurate figures and Olympic records.

*Huan Huan: Specializing in ball games, Huan Huan is full of the spirit and energy of a leader, showing overall abilities.

*Ying Ying: Specializing in track and field events, Ying Ying is impetuous and acts like an intellectual, often composing poetic verses in speech.

*Ni Ni: Specializing in gymnastic items, Ni Ni is warmhearted, smart and straightforward.
