Athens has launched its website for the 2010 Youth Olympic Games at www.athens2010yog.com.
The website includes details of the Athens concept and vision for the 2010 Youth Olympic Games and has photographs of all the venues to be used for the Games.
Minos Kyriakou, President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee and the Athens 2010 Bid Committee said, “by launching this website we are demonstrating that Athens is very committed to its bid for the inaugural Youth Olympic Games. Hosting in 2010 would be a great responsibility as the Youth Olympic Games will be the first new Olympic event on a global scale for 86 years.
“We believe that the images of the Youth Olympic Games in Athens, fusing modern venues and ancient Olympia, could reach around the world, building strong foundations for the future”.
